This week, Billy took his music interviews to a whole new level! This time, he interviewed Australian music royalty & producing powerhouse, Mark Opitz.

Mark's career has seen him produce AC/DC, Rose Tattoo and The Angels and he quickly became the most in-demand producer in the industry - being invited to work with INXS and spending time with Michael Hutchence and being backstage at Wembley Stadium for their iconic 1991 performance.

Mark's reputation quickly spread to America, where he was sent an invitation via fax to work with an emerging band called Guns N' Roses. He was asked to produce their debut studio album, Appetite For Destruction - which he knocked back!

Mark still continues to produce music today and is now passing on his years of experience and music craftsmanship to the next generation of talent coming up the ranks. You can see him in action on ABC's The Recording Studio and as an Honorary Fellow at the ANU in Canberra.

If you've ever wanted to know what goes on behind the scenes when it comes to crafting some of the best music to hit the charts and all things Michael Hutchence, then you'll want to listen to this chat!
