"It would've been fantastic for the State, it would've been fantastic for the area and it's a shame that it wasn't enough to win the nod in front of some extra cash from an interstate developer."

The Adelaide Crows bid to set up their new HQ in Brompton has been rejected in favour of an offer from a Victorian Development company.

"It was always a possibility that that would happen, that a big interstate developer would swoop in and do more of a residential development." Mark Ricciuto commented after learning the news yesterday.

Ricciuto argued that the Crows proposal would've been a 'very different development' when compared to the winning bid:

"Crows were going to have over 50% green space in there - one and a half full ovals, and I think the developers got about 25% green space."

"It will be interesting to see how much of the SA population agree with it."

Mark Ricciuto shares his thoughts on the Government's decision:

After Roo spoke on the decision, Leader of the Opposition Peter Malinauskas called through to share his thoughts.

"I can't believe I'm saying this fellas but I'm actually siding with the Federal President of the Liberal Party in John Olsen and also the Crows. As A Port Labor man, I have to say this decision really disappoints me."

Malinauskas echoed Roo's disappointment to choose the bid that 'is not the best outcome for the community'.

"I can't believe the State Government have chosen an option that is going to put yet more high-density housing over and above green space."
