A 27-year-old Brisbane sparky will face court on charges of grievous bodily harm after a botched castration fetish at an undisclosed local backpackers’ hostel.

Police will allege that the former Anglican Church Grammar student met a Sydney man online who travelled to Brisbane to meet up when the DIY surgery to remove the man’s testicle at the hostel went awry.
