Around 70 fire crews were called to Sydney Olympic Park on Friday afternoon, after a massive blaze broke out.

One person has been taken to hospital for observation by paramedics.

The fire broke out at Monster Skate Park at 2.30pm, sending huge plumes of smoke billowing across the area.

ANZ stadium has confirmed the fire hasn't impacted the NRL, as the Wests Tigers face South Sydney on Friday night, with the smoke blowing towards Parramatta.

The fire has been contained but there is a lot of smoke around, sparking concerns about the NRL match at nearby ANZ Stadium with the Wests Tigers to verse South Sydney.

It's not clear how the blaze started.
