After 12 seasons playing with the Central Coast Mariners, club leading goal scorer Matt Simon has announced his retirement.
The 36-year-old cited a neck injury sustained last year as the reason behind his retirement.
“I just couldn’t get the neck to where I thought it needed to be to give 100% to the team” Matt said talking to 107.7 Triple M’s Paddy and Rob Palmer.
“Playing for the mariners for such a long time, my hometown team in the national competition In front of family and friends, it doesn’t get better then that”.
