Carlton ruckman Matthew Kreuzer has had minor surgery on his knee this week, according to AFL.com.au’s Mitch Cleary.
Kreuzer has famously had an injury-riddled career, with knee and foot problems hampering him.
The surgery is very minor, and is unlikely to affect his ability to play in round one.
“Matthew Kreuzer had minor surgery on his knee this week,” Carlton Director of High Performance Andrew Russell told the Carlton website.
“We don’t expect it to be a major interruption and we’re really confident he’s going to get back to doing some game play late in the pre-season and then be ready for Round 1.
“We’re fortunate that he’s had an excellent preparation to this point and hasn’t missed a beat at all so we expect him to be in very good shape at the start of the season.”
