Put this one firmly in the 'stick in your lane' basket.

McDonald's in Canada is currently copping it hard over their attempt at an 'Aussie BBQ and Egg' burger.

The burger is apparently part of their 'World Taste Tour' promotion, with the Aussie burger apparently promising customers they'll be in "for a g'day".

And their shocking grasp of Aussie culture doesn't just stop with a complete understanding of the term "G'day" either, with the burger appearing to be about as Australian as the Rocky Mountains.

The contents of the contentious burger are: “100% Canadian beef topped with a fresh cracked egg, crispy beet chips, cheese, leaf lettuce, and a smoky BBQ sauce on a brioche-style bun.”

Naturally people have taken Macca's in Canada to task and decided to completely rinse them on social media.
