Melbourne has partnered with the Reach Foundation and will run through a banner consisting of negative tweets on the weekend in a bid to tear down online bullying.

The Demons' banner will consist of real, negative tweets sent to AFL players over the course of their careers.

The club will "tear online bullying down" as they rip through the banner on Friday night against Essendon.

"We're building a banner unlike any other. It's made out of tweets attacking AFL teams and players," the video says.

"The Demons will rip through the banner this Friday, tearing the abuse apart.

"To highlight how online harassment is a major issue, not just for AFL players, but for the one in five young Australians who are victims of cyberbullying."

The Reach Foundation was founded by lifelong Demon Jim Stynes in a bid to help young Australians.
