Member For Mount Gambier Troy Bell Backs Medicinal Cannabis & Pushes Legislative Reform

This morning on the show, Ewan was joined my Member for Mount Gambier, Troy Bell MP, to chat about his stance on medicinal cannabis and his push for legislative reform.

Troy spoke to Ewan about his research on the benefits of medicinal cannabis and found there's either no or very little THC - the active ingredient that gives users a high. 

He also said patients are travelling interstate to see doctors who will prescribe it, as SA doctors are the least likely in Australia to do so. 

The first regional South Australian medicinal cannabis forum will be held in Mount Gambier on May 6 at Uni SA Mount Gambier campus. Registrations will be available in coming weeks. 

The forum will include one session for the general public and another additional session for GPs, police, councils and additional stakeholders.
