Member for Mount Gambier, Troy Bell has called on the State Government to implement measures and reduce the speed limit at the intersection of Ruwoldt and Yahl Road.
The call follows a number of incidents, including two motor vehicles clashing at high speeds.
The local MP hopes an investigation would include the possible installation of safety measures, including lower speed limits, or rumble strips.
Mr Bell says he has also been approached by concerned members of the community, highlighting safety concerns in the school bus zone at Suttontown Primary School.
The Department of Education has responded to concerns, indicating the area is due for an audit.
The audit will consider the installation of additional signage and a dedicated bus loading/unloading area on the school side of the road.
