Triple M Grill Team's Mark Geyer believes the Roosters wouldn't be a better team without Mitchell Pearce, despite the club all but confirming the signature of champion halfback Cooper Cronk leaving Pearce's future in doubt.
MG doesn't believe Cronk will be the 'saviour' the Roosters are looking for.
"Everyone is saying Cooper Cronk is this saviour who is going to come and help them win the grand final,” MG said.
“Be careful what you wish for.”
MG also told the Grill Team, he thinks both Cronk and Pearce are on par, in a Roosters environment.
“No I don’t think they are, I think they are pretty on par,” Geyer said.
“He's (Cronk) coming to a different culture ... he hasn’t got Cameron Smith, he hasn’t got Billy Slater, he hasn’t got Craig Bellamy.
“He’s coming to Bondi kind of like a kid going into camp.
“I do think he’s a better player (than Pearce), but not in this situation.
“The Roosters would be wrong to get rid of Mitchell Pearce.”
