Michael Ray Celebrates Third Number One
"One That Got Away"
Michael Ray’s celebrations continue this week celebrating his third career No. 1 on the Mediabase country radio singles chart with his hit single “One That Got Away.”
The song is the first single to hit the top spot on the charts from his critically acclaimed album Amos, which debuted in the Top 3 on the Billboard country albums chart upon its release last summer.
“From the moment we began playing ’One That Got Away’ in our live show, we could feel it was a special song,” Ray said after getting the good news. “What makes it even more meaningful to me is that’s it’s the first number one single from Amos, which personally is a record that means so much to me.”
The song was written by Nashville hit-makers Josh Osborne, Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen and Jesse Frasure, “One that Got Away” now joins Ray’s previous No. 1s “Think a Little Less” and “Kiss You in the Morning”.
What’s next for Michael? He’s hitting the road with tour dates across the US and Canada taking him through until August – and then there’s his wedding to fellow country music artist Carly Pearce to factor in somewhere…?
