Seven-time Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher raced a lot of cars over his long career.

There's so many, you'd need somewhere pretty big to show them off all in once place.

And that's exactly what's happening.

The former Butzweilerhof Airport in Cologne, Germany will host an exhibition of Schuey's cars - and it's going to be permanent.

From his earliest karts to the 2012 Mercedes F1 W03, which he raced in his final year for Mercedes, there'll be plenty of historic metal for the motorsport fan to lust over.

Schumacher's trophies, racing suits and other mementos from his career will also be going on display at "Motorworld Cologne."

If you remember, Schuey was no slug, picking up a record 91 wins and 155 podiums from 306 grands prix.

His family has endorsed and will help maintain the exhibit while running The Keep Fighting Initiative, which aims to spread "positive energy" after Schumacher's skiing accident in December 2013.

It left the German with serious head injuries and reduced his quality of life.

The exhibition will open in April next year.
