MID-AIR MANIA: Two people burned on plane

Two people have been burned by hot water in mid-air.

It's believed the pair suffered burns when they spilled coffee on themselves on a Jetstar flight from Melbourne at around 7:30am on Wednesday.

Paramedics were waiting at Gold Coast Airport to treat them when they landed, and said at least one patient was taken to Tweed Heads Hospital.

It comes after Channel 7 reported emergency crews were responding to a possible fire or explosion.

But the airport quickly dismissed it.
