Police are seeking public assistance to help locate a Caboolture man reported missing in North Queensland.

Peter English, 37, last made contact with family on February 11 while travelling alone to Mount Isa in his dark grey Ford FG Falcon sedan with New South Wales registration FPV849.

Police and family hold concerns for his wellbeing as it is out of character for him not to remain in regular contact.

Peter is Caucasian, about 179cm tall with a solid build, fair complexion, brown hair and hazel eyes.

While his vehicle was last sighted in Mount Isa, it is believed he may have travelled to the Mackay area or could be returning to South East Queensland.

Anyone who may have seen his vehicle or has any information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact police.

If you have information for police, contact Policelink on 131 444 or provide information using the online form 24hrs per day.

A worker has died in a tragic workplace incident at Moranbah North Mine. An emergency response was initiated immediately when a personnel carrier and a grader collided in the access drift close to the surface of the mine. The ten workers in the personnel carrier immediately received medical treatment on site. Two injured men were assessed in Mackay Base Hospital, two others were taken to Rockhampton, while the remaining six didn’t need further treatment. The driver of the grader received immediate treatment and was taken to hospital where sadly he passed away. A full investigation is now underway.

The RSPCA are hoping you might be able to identify a man caught savagely beating a dog in North Mackay. Footage has been released by the charity showing a man brutally attacking and punching a dog while his mate watched on around 4:40pm last Wednesday on Green Street. At this stage nobody knows if the dog belongs to the man or was just wandering the neighbourhood. If you have any information contact the RSPCA.
