Search to resume for missing swimmer - Albury 

A search will resume this morning for a man missing while swimming in the Murray River at Albury.

Police from Murray River Police District were called to Noreuil Park just after 7pm yesterday (Wednesday 9 January 2019), after a 21-year-old man was seen to disappear underwater and not resurface.

A search began involving local police and NSW Ambulance personnel, assisted by the Volunteer Rescue Association (VRA).

The search of the river and surrounding shoreline continued until 9.30pm when it was suspended.

The search has resumed this morning, with assistance sought from the Police Divers, Volunteer Rescue Association (VRA) and Maritime Services (RMS).
