THE BATTLE OF BAGHDAD:

The battle of Baghdad is a tough but fun obstacle course that you can tackle this Sunday

WINGS OVER WARWICK OPEN DAY:

Pilots from as far away as Lismore will be soring over the Southern Downs this weekend with a wide range of aircraft on display at the Warwick Aerodrome for the Wings over Warwick Open Day.

CRAVE FOOD FESTIVAL:

Crave Food Festival is an open to the public, family friendly, gourmet food event held on the second Saturday evening of every month, hosted by the Mary MacKillop Catholic College Parents and Friends Association.

 

WHEN:  Saturday September 9th.

WHERE: Mary MacKillop Catholic College Primary Campus, 75 Highfields Road, Highfields, QLD 4352 Australia

TIME:  5:30PM – 8:30PM

Sample from a wide range of food vendors and enjoy a family friendly movie and entertainment with bar facilities also available.

Check out the amazing goods on offer at the Highfields Village Markets and then wander across to the College to enjoy a casual dinner (and a glass of wine), with all the family catered for. Bring your picnic rug and relax while you listen to some music or watch the family friendly films on the outdoor screen.

‘IT TAKES A VILLAGE’ FAMILY FUN DAY – Queensland Child Protection Week:

United Synergies' Toowoomba Youth Service is hosting 'It takes a Village' Family Fun Day for Queensland Child Protection Week.

 

WHEN:  Saturday September 9th

WHERE:  Wilsonton Heights Park, Port Street, Wilsonton Heights

TIME: 10:00AM – 2:00PM

 


This free event aims to raise community awareness of services and encourage the Toowoomba community to get involved and actively participate in the protection of all children and young people. 

There will be a range of community support services together with sporting, creative and therapeutic activities for children, young people, parents and carers; information and market stalls, cultural education, dance and performance, to encourage conversations about positive familial and community relationships in a safe and open environment.

In keeping with the theme ‘Protecting Children is Everybody’s Business’ you are invited to join in the event.

Enhancing the connection between the community, services, businesses and organisations that support children, young people and families within the Toowoomba Region.

Toowoomba Youth Service has, for 35 years, brought services to the community and we would like to you to assist us in marking this occasion and celebrating the unique, diverse and supportive community and collaborative partnerships the Toowoomba Region enjoys.

 

OUT OF THE SHADOWS COMMUNITY WALK:

Lifeline Darling Downs & South West Qld Ltd in conjunction with the Toowoomba Suicide Prevention Network are holding an Out of the Shadows community walk to coincide with World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10.

 

WHEN:  Sunday September 10th 

WHERE:  Picnic Point, Toowoomba

TIME: 10:00AM - 11:00AM

In Australia eight people a day take their own life, which is a very sad statistic.

Join the walk to raise awareness, remember those lost to suicide and unite in a commitment to prevent further deaths by suicide.

This is a free event however you are asked to register.

Together we can make a difference.
