Mötley Crüe Have Covered Madonna's 'Like A Virgin' For The Dirt Soundtrack

Mötley Crüe have released their left-field cover of Madonna's Like A Virgin, recorded for their soundtrack to their biopic The Dirt.

It's one of four new songs the band recorded for the biopic, with the rest of the soundtrack featuring classic Mötley Crüe hits.

Bassist Nikki Sixx recently told Billboard that he wasn't sure if the cover was a good idea.

“When my mind’s open like that, these ideas pop in."

“And [it] popped in my head, and I sort of like looked up, as if to laugh at God, and went, ‘You’re pretty funny.’”

Even producer Bob Rock told Sixx, “Yeah, I don’t know — good luck!”

Sixx also says that guitarist Mick Mars included a nod to Metallica in the cover. That features at the 2:45 mark of the track.

Check out the cover below, ahead of The Dirt's release on Netflix on March 22. The soundtrack will be released the same day, and can be pre-ordered here.
