More than a million dollars worth of fines has been dished out in Melbourne alone following that violent anti-lockdown protest on Saturday.

Rallies were held around the country yesterday, however the scenes in Melbourne were particularly ugly with more than 230 arrested and 10 officers injured.

Victorian Police Commander Mark Galliott says they won't hesitate shutting down the city again if there's another protest.

"By shutting down the public transport system as we did, by enforcing the vehicle checkpoints, kept all those people and the planned protesters out of the city. So we'll commence planning if they decide to run another protest. We'll certainly look at a whole range of options," he said.

Meantime, Victorians will get a better idea today of what the next few months will look like, when the state's roadmap to freedom is unveiled.

It will reportedly include an extended travel limit up to 25km, outdoor dining, face-to-face learning and no 9pm curfew.
