Mother Wails As She's Jailed For Killing Three Of Her Children
Jailed for at least 20 years
A mother who killed three of her seven children has been jailed for 26 years and six months.
37-year-old Akon Guode deliberately drove her car into a lake in Melbourne's outer south-west two years ago.
Court proceedings were stopped briefly when Guode, a Sudanese refugee, broke down.
She had wailed through most of her sentence in the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

Guode was found guilty over the drowning deaths of her 16-month-old Bol, and four-year-old twins Hanger and Madit after they were driven into Lake Gladman in Wyndham Vale on April 8, 2015.
A fourth child was also in the car, but was rescued.
During sentencing, Victorian Supreme Court Judge Lex Lasry labelled the mother's actions as "the product of extreme desperation".
