All For A Point

"Better than nothing" was Johann Zarco's reason for pushing his Yamaha across the finish line in the San Marino MotoGP at Misano.

The Frenchman's bike ran out of fuel on the final corner of the 28-lap race.

Rather than do the "walk of shame" back to the pits, Zarco decided to jump off and get pushing.

And push he did.

All the way to the finish line at Misano, where he scored a solitary point for his efforts.

Not to mention a thunderous applause from the fans in the stands.

"From the last corner I had to go down next to the bike and run - and it was long," he said.

"I knew that there are two lines, the start line and the finish line, [and] the finish line was really far.

"[But] in the end I got one point, better than nothing. There are worse things in life than finishing without fuel."

Honda's Marc Marquez won the race on the final lap to tie up the top of the world championship with Andrea Dovizioso.
