This morning on the show, Lee was joined by Toowoomba South MP and Deputy Leader of the Opposition in Queensland, David Janetzki to chat about why he will be voting against the proposed Assisted Dying Bill.

Queensland’s Parliament is considering legislation to enable voluntary assisted dying to become a choice available as part of end of life care for Queenslanders.

Voluntary assisted dying allows a person who is suffering and dying from a life limiting condition to choose the timing and circumstances of their death.

The proposed law to allow voluntary assisted dying is expected to be debated by Queensland’s Parliament in September 2021. If passed, voluntary assisted dying will be available from early 2023.

So, David Janetzki has told Lee why he is against it and his concerns with Assisted Dying.
