Mudgeeraba Woman Rushed To Hospital With Chemical Burns

A woman is recovering from chemical burns, after an incident at Mudgeeraba overnight.

Emergency crews were called to a private residents around 6pm with reports a woman in her 30s had been injured after coming into contact with chlorine.

She suffered a first-degree burn to her thigh, stinging eyes and had some respiratory issues, while a man also had some difficulty breathing after inhaling the dangerous fumes.

Both patients were taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital, the woman in a serious but stable condition.
