Falling Leaves Festival, presented by the Toowoomba International Multicultural Society (TIMS) and Hutchinson Builders, will be the first of its kind in Toowoomba where young adults can come and experience a music festival as part of Queensland Youth Week 2019.
Event organiser, Cassandra Hunter, said the festival was the brainchild of TIMS, Toowoomba Regional Council Youth Connect and Regional Youth Leaders and Event Group Toowoomba.
“We saw a gap in activities/events for teenagers in the region and thought this would help give these high school aged kids the chance to attend a music festival safely while adding something for them to do in the holidays,” Mrs Hunter said.
“The kids on the organising committee from Youth Connect are really excited about the event and the line up of bands we have coming to Toowoomba for it.”
There will be plenty of action at the festival including live bands that the kids can take part in including a selfie station, basketball, archery attack, chill zones and much more!
Queensland Youth Week (QYW19), from 3 to 14 April 2019, is an annual celebration of young people aged 12 to 25 and the positive contributions they make to Queensland communities.
