National Treasure Warrick Capper Details His Near-Death Experience

High-flying hangers, an amateur porn career and an Ultra Tune ad. Nothing, we thought, could ever take down the Warwick ‘The Wizard’ Capper. However, last month something inevitably nearly did.

Speaking on The Big Breakfast, the former Sydney Swans and Brisbane Bears star told Marto and Margaux how a burst appendix nearly took down the great man after some poor advice following about of what he thought was a bout of food poisoning. 

“(he said) ’Go have a scotch, it’ll make you feel better’. Then I turned grey”
