Nick Riewoldt "Staggered" By Tribunal's Decision To Overturn Rioli Suspension

Nick Riewoldt joined the Marty Sheargold Show to discuss the fallout from the AFL Tribunal following the decision to overturn Eagles forward Willie Rioli's suspension.

Roo said he was "staggered" by the actions of the tribunal, who overturned Rioli's one-match ban for the hit on Gold Coast's Matt Rowell.

"I just think where we've gotten to with concussion, the rule changes, the overhaul, the focus on it - there is a lot of noise bubbling away beneath the surface at the moment."

The former St Kilda superstar cited past incidents of concussion as reasons why the AFL has a duty of care to stamp out any form of head collisions, especially when a player elects not to go the ball.
