One poor bloke in Victoria has been branded by his seatbelt on a 45-degree day.

His partner posted a series of photos to Reddit of the seatbelt-shaped burn during last week's scorcher and provided updates as the burn slowly healed.

"It hit 45 degrees Celsius in our area today and my boyfriend got instantly branded by his seat belt buckle getting into his car. It’s already peeling," they wrote.

"He's a real Aussie now. He can upgrade to a flag singlet," one user replied on the latest update.
