There are still issues with the trains this afternoon, following a disturbance near the tracks at Redfern this morning.

Trains are currently running, but there are extensive delays across the network.

Services were disrupted at roughly 11.30am when a person entered an area near the tracks, causing power to be shut off to the tracks as a precaution.

Sydney Trains has tweeted that there are frequent trains still operating, but journey times may be longer due to the disruptions today.

Efforts are being made to restore the timetable to order, with passengers advised to check station indicators and announcements.

  • T1 City to Epping via Strathfield
  • T1 Emu Plains or Richmond to City

  • T2 Parramatta or Leppington to City
  • T3 City to Liverpool or Lidcombe via Bankstown
  • T3 Liverpool or Lidcombe to City via Bankstown
  • T4 Bondi Junction to Waterfall or Cronulla
  • T4 Waterfall or Cronulla to Bondi Junction
  • T8 City to Macarthur via Airport or Sydenham
  • T8 Macarthur to City via Airport or Sydenham
  • BMT Bathurst to Central
  • BLUE Bathurst to Central
  • BMT Central to Bathurst
  • BLUE Central to Bathurst
