Black Dog Ride Australia

The Black Dog Ride is coming to Cairns this Sunday and they're looking for people to join the conversation about mental health.

One person, every three hours, is losing their life to the black dog, in Australia, everyday.

Those statistics should be enough to make us realise depression, suicide and anxiety need to be spoken about.

Not just on one day, but everyday.

The Black Dog Ride will kick off bright and early on Sunday morning and will join the national message of hope, awareness and prevention.

If you're needing to get out the house, make some new friends and want to join the fight, here are all the details:

7.00am Check in at the Australian Artillery and Armour Museum, 2 Skyrail Drive, Smithfield Qld Car Park.

Cairns Lions Club will be cooking a BBQ breakfast for gold coin donations and Anneliese, Annie's Cup & Away will provide required caffeine hits.

8.30am Registrations close

8.45am Ride briefing and group photo

9.00am Stands up and Ride Departs
