Local projects across the Central West have received a boost this week, thanks to a funding allocation from the NSW Government.

The Orange City Council will see over $1 million dollars worth of State funding, while the Cabonne Shire Council has been awarded over $300,000 for Shared Mobility Access Pathway Projects in Manildra, Cudal, and Mullion Creek.

The Forbes and Parkes Shire Councils were also winners, receiving a share of $1.1 million.

In Orange, the funds will go towards improving the toilet facilities in Robertson Park, installing new lighting in the CBD, and upgrading our footpaths.

The funds were allocated under round one of the Stronger Country Communities Fund.

Community members and local organisations that may have missed out, can apply for a share of $200 million available under round two, which is open now.
