He was the breakout star of State of Origin Game I but it appears on the surface that Maroons emerging leader Patrick Carrigan hasn’t been rewarded for his efforts in Sydney.

However, speaking on Triple M Breakfast with Marto and Margaux NRL insider Ben Dobbin explained that Billy Slater’s decision to leave Carrigan on the bench will allow him to play big minutes with an early injection into the game.
