Outside-The-Box Thinking Restaurant Launches "My Girlfriend Isn't Hungry" Menu Of Side Dishes

People nicking food off their other half's plate is either a bigger problem than we realised or one restaurant has just launched the most successful online campaign we've seen in a long, long time.

Mama D's in North Little Rock, Arkansas, has gone well and truly viral with a new menu that strives to solve the age-old issue of having to share your dinner.

The diner is now offering a side dish called "My Girlfriend is Not Hungry", which allows the customer to add an extra portion of fries and chicken wings or cheese sticks to their meal.

The menu item was made famous by a restaurant goer by the name of Nick Chisler, whose original post has been shared more than 20,000 times and is racking up thousands of comments.

It's obviously working for Mama D's, though, who re-opened a couple of months ago and have only had five-star ratings on Yelp since.

And while there's been just as much backlash as support for the move, we're shouting out one commenter, who has found the true silver lining: "I'd order the 'my girlfriend is not hungry' for myself as an add on to my meal."
