Over 50 Firefighters Battling Brookvale Storage Unit Blaze

Firefighters are still battling a blaze in Brookvale that has been alight since 1am this morning.

More than 50 firefighters are at the storage facility where the fire broke out on Cross Street.

Residents nearby are being advised to keep doors and windows closed, with NSW Fire crews expecting to spend the rest of the day - and possibly some of tomorrow - working to contain the "complex fire".

"Because it is a storage facility there are hundreds of individual storage units that they have had to break into to try and extinguish the fire," a spokesperson said.

"There has been limited access to water."
