The Penrith Panthers have commented on an incident reported earlier today involving Dallin Watene-Zelezniak at a junior footy game.

DWZ was volunteering as a touch judge when an altercation occurred with an official from St Mary's, with reports that it eventually turned into a physical confrontation.

According to AAP, the Penrith Junior League is investigating the matter. DWZ has been cleared of any wrong-doing.

"Penrith Panthers is aware of an incident involving Panthers player Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, which occurred at a junior rugby league fixture in St Clair on Saturday morning," the club said on Sunday.

"Watene-Zelezniak was volunteer as a sideline official at the time and contacted Panthers Executive General Manager Phil Gould immediately following the incident.

"Panthers can confirm Watene-Zelezniak was not the instigator of the incident."
