Bad flu season blamed
It was a tough winter for hospitals across the state, NSW hit with the worst flu season on record.
The Wagga Rural Referral Hospital had to deal with a significant increase in presentations to the Emergency Department.
Results of the most recent report show that, 10,636 patients presented to the ED between July and September - up 6.1% compared to the same time last year.
64% of patients left the ED within the recommended 4 hours, down 6% from last year.
