This week, Billy jumped on the phone to Patrick Robertson, lead singer, guitarist and founder of Aussie rock band, Motor Ace. The band have recently reunited for a tour around the country to celebrate 20 years of being a band (on & off!).

MotorAce burst onto the Australian music scene in the late 90s and quickly climbed the charts with hits like Carry On, Chairman Of The Board and Keeping Secrets. But the pressures of fame and their extensive touring schedule was too much for Patrick, who was also fighting a disease he kept quiet about - especially to the media.

The band called it a day soon after this and Patrick worked on his solo music.

As Motor Ace celebrate 20 years after their first release in 1999, their fans started petitions to get the band back together to tour - and true to their word, they did.

Pat may have let something slip about Motor Ace getting back together and heading into the studio to make new music in 2020!

Motor Ace are playing Hotel Esplanade in Saint Kilda on October 4. You can get your tickets from Moshtix!
