Perth Doctor's Revealing Chat About Battling Coronavirus: The Importance Of Isolation
Stop the spread
A Perth doctor who has tested positive to Covid-19 has shed some light on the virus and what he's currently going through.
Dr Stephen Fenner called from isolation and revealed that his experience with Coronavirus, although mild, hasn't changed his mind about the strict importance of self isolating.
The chat clarifies what happens if you do get the illness and there's a bit in particular where Dr Fenner clarifies absolutely, the importance of isolation should you show symptoms.
"It's really only a day or two before you get sick that you're contagious, so if a family member gets sick and everyone stays away from the rest of the community, it's going to be about 5-7 days before the next people in the circle contract the illness, so you're abolutely preventing those people from spreading it, the virus will stop if you isolate yourself, it doesn't spread any further"
In these amazingly unprecedented times, it's reassuring to have some clarity from a medical professional behind the walls of isolation.
