Perth Represents In The APRA Music Awards
Two big awards come west!
A couple of #Perth musicians represented in this year’s APRA Music Awards, awarded as a measure to “gather together the music creator community to celebrate the songs and music that define and inspire us all.”
First up, Birds Of Tokyo won Rock Work Of The Year for their song I’d Go with You Anywhere. It was their fourth award win…
Dianella boy Troye Sivan also did us proud by taking home the gong for Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year. It’s fair to say that Sivan’s 2016 was action packed. His Youtube channel exploded with popularity, which no doubt contributed to the success of his debut album Blue Neighbourhood, which was one of the most streamed albums on Spotify in Australia in 2016.
