An ex-pat Perth dancer is literally living the dream, having scored the job of Install Director for internationally award winning Celebrity Cruises.

Brooke Barlow, who grew up dancing at WA Stage School in Malaga, has taken her passion for dancing and has been able to turn it into a career, after graduating with an Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts from the Principal Academy of Dance (based in Carr Place, Leederville).

Her new position of Install Director will allow Brooke to not only keep dancing, but pass on her skills and knowledge to a team of dancers, as she will be responsible for directing and teaching the shows to a cast before they are sent onto a ship for the entirety of their contract.

Brooke has been with Celebrity Cruises since 2015, and after a few years of working with them to entertain the punters, usually performing a gruelling 3 to 4 full length production shows per contract, she finds herself now in the enviable position of Install Director.

When asked about her new position, Brooke was understandably chuffed.

"I love being able to perform every single day, but I have always known my ultimate passion lies within teaching... I love being a part of the creative process and bringing a show to life.”

After fulfilling her current 2019 commitments, Brooke will be able to accept this new position and begin living her dream. And that's great news for yet another #Perth success story.
