The Bureau of Meteorology's Helen Reid spoke with Bodge this morning on the forecast for the hugely anticipated Red Hot Summer Tour this weekend, which some have feared was to be rained out.

Fortunately, the bureau have stated that, while we can expect a couple of light showers across the weekend, the weather is looking fine for the big event.

"We are expecting that things will be easing off," Ms. Reid said.

"It is looking like a partly cloudy time, with just one or two showers coming in."

The rain we've received over the last few days, while plentiful, is only part of what we were expecting just a few days ago.

"Most of the current rainfall, a lot of it went out to sea," Ms. Reid said.

"It's a very broad system, though. So, i don't want to say it's all done and dusted, because, if you look to the west, it is still quite wet out there, and that may yet drift over the coastal areas as well."
