Mark "MG" Geyer has issued a warning for Parramatta Eels fans, urging them to "please, please leave Dylan [Brown] alone".
The ex-Panthers legend admitted that he understood why people were getting so excited about the 18-year-old's trial performances, but advised the we "cool our heels" for the time being.
MG was speaking on Tuesday night's The Rush Hour with MG, where he also pointed to the "Curse of Sterlo" as a cautionary tale.
"I know in rugby league we tend to get overexcited when we see a young prodigy coming through the ranks," MG said. "We witnessed one last Saturday night against Penrith and Parramatta.
"His name is Dylan Brown.
"We've got to be very careful not to link Dylan Brown to the Curse of Sterlo."
