PM Turnbull Reveals Deal With America In Instance Of Attacks
"We are joined at the hip"
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has confirmed Australia's alliance with America following his phone call with President Donald Trump.
Speaking on Channel 7's Sunrise, PM Turnbull emphasised the relationship between the two countries, particularly in light of the recent threat from North Korea.
"If there is an attack on America, we will come to America's aid. If there is an attack on Australia, America will come to our aid. That is our alliance," Mr Turnbull said.
"Our alliance is absolutely rock solid. We confirmed and affirmed our alliance.
"We have America's back, and America has our back.
"We are joined at the hip."
