TWO women in their 20s have been nabbed for serious drug offences, after police pulled their vehicle over in Southport yesterday.

Detectives from the Gold Coast CIB, and members of Task Force Maxima and the Road Policing Unit
searched the car after stopping it on Ferry Rd around midday on Wednesday.

They allegedly uncovered cocaine with a street value of more than $15,000, as well as about $2,500 in cash, restricted drugs and other drug paraphernalia.

A 26-year-old Wynnum woman and a 23-year-old from Alderly were arrested and charged with a string of offences, including possession of dangerous drugs.

They were both scheduled to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on March 26.
