A combined sporting club premises at Edmonton was targeted by vandals over the weekend, for the third time in the past month.

Entry was forced to the Walker Road complex on Saturday night, resulting in damage to a refrigerator and several doors. No property was stolen during the latest break-in.

Officers from the Cairns Property Crime Squad yesterday charged three boys aged 11, 14, and 15 in relation to the incident. The trio, from Yarrabah and Mount Sheridan, were charged with multiple offences including entering premises with intent, wilful damage and possession of suspected stolen property.

Investigations are continuing as police suspect the involvement of a further five to six youths in relation to the incident.
