Police Investigate Serious Crash At Tugun

Anyone who witnessed a serious crash at Tugun yesterday is being urged to get in touch with police.

Investigators were looking into a smash at the corner of Tugun-Currumbin Rd and the Gold Coast Highway around 3pm on Sunday.

It was believed a motorbike turning left onto the highway, crossed the median strip and collided with a car travelling south along the road.

A 47-year-old rider suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police were calling for any witnesses or anyone with relevant dash-cam footage to come forward.
