Police have scaled down the search and rescue operation to locate a 37-year-old man reported missing near Warwick who has been missing for more than a week.

Bradley Smith (pictured), from Nanango, was reported missing on April 23 after failing to return home to Nanango from a music festival at Elbow Valley.

Police have coordinated an air and land search of the Elbow Valley area with the assistance of the SES, however so far have not located Mr Smith.

Preliminary investigations indicate he may have left the festival and been travelling on foot.

Although the search and rescue operation has been scaled down, police are continuing to appeal for information to help locate Mr Smith.

He is described as about 175cm tall with a solid build, fair complexion, blue eyes, a beard and long, dark-brown hair that is usually tied in a pony tail.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have interacted with Mr Smith at the music festival, or who may have taken pictures of him to contact them.

Senior Constable Jim Ellis says they have poured everything into the search.
