The Port Adelaide football club have released a statement revealing the severity of Ollie Wines' shoulder injury.
Hard-nosed midfielder, and potential new Port Adelaide captain Ollie Wines dislocated his shoulder while water skiing over the long weekend, with the Power revealing he has already had surgery to repair the injury.
(Ollie) Wines had an arthroscope this morning and Port Adelaide General Manager – Football, Chris Davies says the surgery was successful," the statement read.
“Ollie is expected to have his arm in a sling for a period of time,” Davies said.
“His progress will be assessed in coming weeks with a view to him returning to the field early in the home and away season.”
Wines was the second high-profile injury over the weekend, after Carlton's Alex Fasolo broke his arm play fighting with friends at a party.
