Port Stephens Toddler Drowns In Backyard Pool

There's been tragic drowning in Port Stephens, just over a week before Christmas.

Police were called to Marsh Road at Bobs Farm about 6:40pm Sunday night after a 19 month old boy was found unconscious in a backyard swimming pool.

Paramedics performed CPR however he died at the scene.

Police set up a crime scene and launched an investigation.

At this stage there doesn't appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
