Triple M's Hot Breakfast news breaker Seb Costello has revealed that there could be a major alcohol shortage in Melbourne.

Costello reported this morning that a number of trucks Woolworths Liquor distribution centre in Laverton has been closed due to a Covid issue. 

Up to thirty trucks have been banked up outside the centre without being able to distribute the products around the state.  

Woolworths also own Dan Murphy's which may affect their supply. 

UPDATE: Woolworths provided a statement saying "We don't anticipate any material issues in our liquor supply to stores at this stage."
