Imagine it's your wheelie bin day...you get home, it's dark and you forget to take the bin in. We've all done it!

Queensland Councils are proposing a wheelie bin law, where you'll be fined in excess of $2,500 if you leave your bin on the kerb for 24 hours after being emptied.

That's A LOT of money!

Councils in Mackay, Rockhampton, Burdekin, Bundy, Gladstone, Goldie, and Townsville are all considering the waste and recycle law.

But Townsville City Council at this stage are saying it's unlikely to be implemented.

Is the fine a good idea? Let us know on Facebook!
